1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Derby Dash ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

2. Description of Service

Derby Dash is a free-to-play multiplayer horse racing game. The in-game coins have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency, goods, or services. This is not a gambling service. All betting within the Game uses virtual currency only.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account via our authentication provider (Clerk) to play. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You must not share your account credentials or create multiple accounts to abuse game mechanics.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use unauthorised bots, scripts, or automation tools to interact with the Game
  • Exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage
  • Harass or abuse other players
  • Attempt to manipulate game outcomes or interfere with server communications
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the game code or its APIs
  • Open multiple browser tabs to join the same room and farm coins

5. Virtual Currency

In-game coins are provided for entertainment purposes only. We reserve the right to modify, reset, or remove virtual currency at any time. Coins have no cash value and are non-transferable. Coins can be earned through gameplay, daily streaks, begging from in-game characters, and watching advertisements.

6. Third-Party Services

The Game relies on the following third-party services to operate:

  • Clerk — authentication and user account management
  • Vercel — web application hosting
  • PartyKit — real-time multiplayer game server
  • Neon — database hosting

Your use of the Game is also subject to each provider's terms of service. We are not responsible for service interruptions caused by third-party providers.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms, without prior notice.

8. Disclaimer

The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Game, including loss of virtual currency or interruption of service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Game constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
